The Golden Palm of the Festival to an American director, for the first time in more than 10 years

Awarded for Best Male Performance Cannes Film Festival Jesse Plemons stars in George Lanthimos’ latest film, Kinds of Kindness.

At the awards ceremony held on Saturday night, The Grand Jury Prize, the Palme d’Or, was awarded to “Anora” by Sean Bakerthe first American director to win the Phoenix Award in more than a decade.

Award of the Committee best female performance went to the three women in the movie”Emilia Perez», his Zoe Saldanasinger Selena Gomez and transgender actress Carla Sophia Gascon.

The best director was awarded to Miguel Gomet for “Grand Tour”.

Finally, the Special Award was given to “Holy Fig Seed” by Mohammad Rasoulaf of Iran.
