Dance performances! Concerts! Parallel actions! But Patras Art Festival is not only that! Another year committed to its beliefs and ideology that the education and learning of the art of dance is universal, it supports the educational side of the art, giving participants the opportunity to improve their skills and be inspired by experts in the field, access to two workshops. Under the guidance of experienced choreographers, it offers participants a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the technique and art of dance.
EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS
Modern dance workshop with Athanasia Kanellopoulou.
The course focuses on strengthening and liberating the body, emphasizing the importance of the center, our natural source of energy, our primary and primary instrument of all study. Using gravity and breath, the natural impulse of movement and inner pulse, we discover freedom and move through simple and then more complex expressions. Different qualities and dynamics lead us to a clear perception of internal and external space. After the first part, there will be material from repertoires with groups with which Athanasia Kanellopoulou cooperates.
Dance workshop for children aged 8-12 with Katerina Kaima.
Through kinetic games and improvisations, guided by the basic principles of contemporary dance and elements from body percussion, we will activate our bodies, interact and move at all levels and in all directions. We will balance, tumble, twist, twirl, roll, play to the beat, and above all, dance together and now. A dance workshop for 8-12 year olds with or without previous dance experience.
Educational seminars will take place on June 29 in the Art Evolution multifunctional hall.
