Weather: The week starts with 40 degrees and dust

The start of the summer’s first heat wave begins today, Monday (10/6), with temperatures expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius during the week. Mercury will reach “red” and will be accompanied by a new wave of dust.

Today, the weather conditions will be sunny, only locally cloudy, and it is likely to rain occasionally and temporarily in mountainous mainland regions during the day and afternoon. Atmospheric dust concentration will be relatively high mainly on the mainland and the Twelve Islands.

The temperature will be 18-34 degrees in Western Macedonia, 19-35 in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace, 19-32 in Epirus, 19-39 in Thessaly, 18-37 degrees in Sterea and Peloponnese.
