Concerts by famous artists who have conquered the Greek public and big names of music, dance and theater from the international and Greek scene round out the artistic programming of the Athens Concert Hall for 2024-2025 for another year. Among the important artists and well-known ensembles that Megaro will host next season, we find, among others, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vasily Petrenko (13.10.2024), Theodoros Kourentzis (2 and 3.11.2024), Dutch Dance Theater (6). -9.11.2024), Arkadi Volontos (2.12.2024), Jonas Kaufman (9.2.2025), Leonidas Kavakos and Enrico Pace (22.3.2025), Joyce DiDonato (8.4.2025), Igor Levit (9.4.2025), and Hélène Grimaud (24.5.2025).
The public will still have the opportunity to be entertained on stage by the radical visionary artists of the Palace, such as violinist Patricia Kopatsinskaya and Ensemble Resonanz (28.1.2025) and Angelen Prelzokaz’s dance group (13 and 14.4). .2025). Great artists, performers and conductors
The charismatic Theodoros Kurentzis and the Utopia Orchestra (2 and 3.11.2024) present Symphony No. 5 Perform “Passacaglia,” an original composition by Gustav Mahler and world premiere dedicated to the international Greek maestro by Jay Schwartz (sponsored by ALPHA BANK). New talents are in the spotlight
Athens Concert Hall presents Yunchan Lim (13.10.2024) in collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vasiliy Petrenko in a performance at the Christos Lambrakis Hall. Yunchan Lim achieved international fame when he was named the youngest pianist to win first prize at the 2022 Van Cliburn International Competition at the age of just 18. In the following season, internationally renowned piano virtuoso Bruce Liu (12.4.2025), winner of the 2021 International Chopin Competition, accompanied by the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, will also give a concert at Megaro.
Respect for the voice
An important part of the program of the 2024-2025 season is dedicated to the voice, with guests, among others, two famous lyricists of our time, Jonas Kaufmann (9.2.2025) and Joyce DiDonato (8.4.2025).
Dance and modern music
The much-loved dance group Netherlands Danse Theater (NDT II) returns to Megaro in November (6, 7 and 8.11.2024) with three choreographies: a new work by the rising Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos, as well as Crystal Pite and Girzi Kylian.
As part of the Spring Festival, Angelen Prelzokaz’s new piece “Requiem(s)”, one of the most innovative and emotionally charged works of modern dance, is presented (13 and 14.4.2025).
Music Friends Chamber Orchestra
Friends of Music Chamber Orchestra has planned two concerts for the first quarter of the new artistic season (11.30 and 12.27.2024). The December concert will be dedicated to the memory and vision of Christos Lambrakis for the diverse cultural activities of Megaros that led to the creation of Camerata.
